Back to Tahoe--ish type place
Monday Riley and I are headed off to Camp Sacramento! It is a camp about 20 minutes before you get to Tahoe (that is the best navigation I can come up with right now) that is owned and maintained by the city of Sacramento in the Sierras. We're going with a friend of Riley's and his mom, and we have adjoining cabins.
Sue has been a lot of years so she has the inside skinny on the good things to do...she says it's like Meatballs but with bigger people too. It isn't uptight, the food is supposed to be abundant and fab ...happy hours and all! She says wine snobs abound and one women every year sets up her sewing machine in the main lodge and quilts! What a hoot!
Our cabin(s) are circled here...
I wish I had a scanner so you could see the intineary...candle making, late night pizza build your own, softball against the staff with happy hour keg-gars after, Archery, complete with camp variety show!, exercise and all day hikes, a day trip to Tahoe "pope Beach" where Sue says the food show doesn't miss a beat and that is a quick version. The theme is "Pirates of the Caribbean" with a dinner/dance on the last night. She says that everyone puts twinkle lights and decorations of the theme on their cabin. CUTE...
So here is a question, anyone know what to do to preserve tie dye color? I thought a vinegar bath before you wash would work, but I am not 100%, anyone know? any clever decoration ideas?
I am going to take a lotta pictures!
